On 27 January 2026, Canix acquired Trym. Canix committed to Trym customers “for at least one year.” That commitment window closes around January 2027.
We’re not going to tell you Trym is being shut down. Nobody has said that, and as far as we know it isn’t true. What we’ll say is narrower and, we think, more useful: nobody has said it’s staying, either — and if you’re signing an annual renewal in the next few months, that’s a question worth asking out loud.
Below is the most honest comparison we know how to write, including a full section on the things Trym still does better than we do.

That sentence is doing a lot of work. It’s the ordinary shape of an acquisition like this one: the acquired team’s capability moves toward the acquirer’s product. It doesn’t mean anything bad is coming. It does mean the roadmap you bought into is now somebody else’s roadmap.
Three groups: the things both platforms do, the things Trym does better, and the things only we do. We’ve put Trym’s advantages second rather than last, because they’re the ones that should change your mind if they matter to your operation.
If you switch, you don’t give any of this up. This is the boring, load-bearing half of the comparison.

Trym publishes real numbers in their FAQ, which we respect — most of this industry doesn’t. Here they are next to ours.

Even our full tier lands $400/month below Trym’s cheapest published price — $4,800 a year — and because their price climbs with canopy and ours doesn’t, the gap only widens as you grow. Add twenty trimmers for harvest and our bill doesn’t move.
Pricing shown for Trym is from their published FAQ as of August 2026 and covers facilities under 10,000 sq ft. Larger operations and multi-facility groups are quoted individually by both companies. Compare your own quote — don’t take ours for it.
